Privacy Policy

Who this is

This site is operated by DTC Guys, LLC, a California limited liability company, which also trades as Modern Hero Collective. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean DTC Guys, LLC.

What we collect

Very little, and only what you hand over.

• Contact form. If you use the form on this site, we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message.
• Server logs. Our host records standard technical information when a page loads, including IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This is normal web server activity and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

That is the complete list.

What we do not do

This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no tracking cookies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anybody, and we never have.

One third party worth naming

Typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. That means Google receives your IP address when a page loads, because your browser has to request the font files from Google's servers. We do not control that and we get nothing from it, but you should know it happens. If you would rather it did not, a content blocker will stop it and the site will still work.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of established providers to run the business. Each only receives what it needs:

• Netlify hosts this site and processes contact form submissions.
• Google Workspace carries our email, so a message you send arrives in an inbox there.
• Stripe handles payments, and only comes into it if you become a paying client. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we hold it, and for how long

We use what you send to reply to you and, if it turns into work, to run that engagement. Nothing else. We keep enquiries while there is a reason to, and clear out the rest periodically. If you want yours gone sooner, ask and we will delete it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email lee@leemalcher.com and we will deal with it. We will not make you jump through hoops and we will not charge you.

If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the other rights apply and we will honor them. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will remove it.

Links to other places

This site links out to dtcguys.co, modernherocollective.com, Amazon, and LinkedIn. Once you land on someone else's site, their privacy policy governs, not this one.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version goes up here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
